The Hydrocolloid is a kind of elastic dressing made of medical hot-melt adhesiue with CMC (carboxymethycellulose) hydrophilic granules. It is mainly used for burns, minor wounds, surgery patients and also for wound management at home. The hydrocolloid absorbs fluid from the wound, and allows excess fluid to evaporate but at the same time is impermeable to oxygen, water, bacterial and other germs.
